Network+ is a computer industry credential that is earned by passing the Network+ exam. The objectives for the Network+ exam are developed by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA). CompTIA's mission is to develop and administer vendor-neutral IT exams and certifications.

The Network+ course covers basic computer networking and communication topics and skills. It will be of benefit to anyone who

• wants to understand and develop skills about networking and communications.
• wants to upgrade their computer skills for their jobs.
• wants to earn a Network+ designation.
• wants to prepare themselves for aditional courses in networking technology.
  Network+ is a recommended prerequisite for Microsoft courses leading to the MCSA and MCSE designation.
• wants to earn credits for other designations. The A+ and Network+ designations togeather are one credit to Microsoft's MCSA designation.
